August 22 is the first day of the 2022-2023 school year, according to state law. The calendar was developed in the fall of 2021 by a committee of teachers, parents, community members and staff.

Lone Star College-CyFair is opening its library to the public for tours, allowing them to learn about the facility and win prizes.

Log in to your library Return to the LSC-CyFair library January 24-27, January 31-February 31. February 3 and 7-10. Library guided tours will last 30 minutes or less and no registration is required. Participants can meet at the entrance to the LSC-CyFair Technology Building and enter for a chance to win.
Lone Star College Students Shine At International Conference
"These regular three-week field trips are offered to help reduce the barriers of library anxiety for students and community members," librarian Liz Nebeker said in a release. – newspaper. Franklin Sampson, director of guidance and counseling at Cy-Fair ISD, has been named to the Lone Star State School Counselors Association board of vice presidents for counselors and educators.
"This will be a great privilege and will give me the opportunity to continue to give back to others," Sampson said in a press release. "I make it my goal every day to do what I can to make an impact on someone's life. Serving in this position will help our organization reach greater heights. I have the unique opportunity to serve in this position." overseeing nearly 300 school counselors, 19 social workers, four health intervention counselors and one substance abuse counselor. I will use my influence to continue nurturing this wonderful community."

Lone Star Middle School Mascot Announced
Cy-Fair ISD won 18 individual medals, including two championships, at the 19th CFISD Invitational held Jan. 7-8.
The Cypress Ranch High School girls finished the highest among CFISD schools, while the Cy Ranch High School boys had the highest finish of any CFISD team in the boys competition.

Kahla Middle School students and staff organized a Bears for Blue drive that collected new and used animals for the CFISD Police Department and other police departments.

According to a press release from the district, 160 animals have been collected and will be given to children in need.

The drive was organized by paraprofessional Kelsey Jackson and classroom secretary Dolores Frayler as an opportunity for students to help others. The trip started on January 5th and ended on January 13th.
"It's a service project that gives back to the community," Jackson said. "I've talked to a number of economically disadvantaged kids and it's great to hear them talk about giving their pets to someone else who might need them. They get something back, but it's intangible. It serves well."

The philosophy of the dental hygiene program is to provide a learning environment where students can fully develop their skills, succeed in a competitive work environment and serve the community.
The dental hygiene program is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation and has received approved accreditation status without reporting. The Commission is an expert organization recognized by the US Department of Education. Lone Star College Reopens Campuses For Fall Semester
Graduates of the Lone Star College – Kingwood Dental Hygiene program are eligible to sit for the National Board Dental Hygiene exam and the regional clinical board exam required for licensure by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners. Graduates wishing to practice outside of Texas should contact their licensing agency for eligibility requirements. See the list of licensing agencies.
