Option 1 would change the winter break schedule, giving students and teachers a week off in October. Thursday, December 21 is the luncheon that begins the winter holidays, which will last until January 1. .

"Option 2 is probably more than we have and it's a long time before Christmas," Principal Lori Burkett said. "Some teachers really like it, so we don't want to be picky."

At 6:00 a.m., the board of trustees voted to approve two options for moving forward for a public and faculty decision. The meeting is Thursday, January 27.
