This afternoon I activated the CSRS pre-registration. We have received notification that some students are experiencing difficulties logging in (credentials disabled, etc.) and loading CSRS. Upon investigation by the IT team, they discovered that the number of simultaneous connections to CSRS had been exceeded. To solve this, The IT Team is gradually increasing the number of allowed connections. In response, we also suggest the plan below to handle the number of connections:

Please note that registration counselors, staff, and faculty are only available from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 p.m., therefore questions, concerns and issues raised outside of these hours will be promptly addressed during the next business hour.

Campus Start/end Times

We understand that some students may not have easy access to a car and/or an internet connection, so we offer them flexibility when they want to pre-register. However, for those who have access to the Internet at all times, please follow this plan.

1) Attention those who buy internet recharge/data on demand. They will not lose load due to the constant refresh of the CSRS site.

2) I'm sure when I log into CSRS I'm pretty sure it will load and I won't be locked out.

Registration Packet 2022 2023 School Year

We have already been told that SAIS is experiencing some issues (unavailability, outages, etc.). The problem is systemic and the designated SAIS team is working around the clock to fix the situation. However, due to time constraints and to save ourselves potential headaches and stress, we are sad to announce that we are withdrawing from using SAIS this semester or until these issues are properly resolved. Don't worry about this, as this is only a temporary setback, we will continue to fix the problems that SAIS has grown and finally use SAIS in the middle of the year.

To continue with pre-registration and enrollment, we will revert to using CSRS for the second semester.

1) For first year students, you will receive an email for information on accessing the CSRS or you can follow the instructions in the textbooks (please see the attachment).

3) We will monitor CSRS performance during pre-registration and manage user access if we experience problems due to session traffic.

4) For problems encountered during pre-registration and registration, please contact your registration advisors or college registrar's office or submit an error report to CSRS.

I may still request that enrollment counselors be available during pre-registration and enrollment activities to answer student questions.

When you're isolated, crazy things can happen. The COVID-19 pandemic came to the country unexpectedly. Most countries, especially third world countries, are not fully equipped to accommodate the increasing number of patients. People who have been cleared of the virus have been advised to stay at home to avoid contracting it. On the other hand, people diagnosed with COVID-19 must be isolated while they recover to avoid the further spread of this highly contagious disease. Due to isolation, many things essential to the human mind are indefinitely suspended – art displays, cinemas, entertainment, social events and more. It's mentally exhausting.

Isolation, directed by Edwin "Ed" David Priete, a rising filmmaker from Davao City, was created because of isolation itself. The film aims to show how patients with COVID-19 also suffer mentally, not just physically. Recent studies have shown that isolation and quarantine have a negative impact on people's mental health. This is also evident from Priete's experience when he and his sister were in a local detention facility. The psychological thriller is about a woman recovering in a COVID-19 isolation center; Awaiting her refusal, however, she slowly drifts away from reality the longer she stays.

"To deal with the isolation we felt during the 14 days of recovery, we made a short film that reflected the loneliness, depression and anxiety that slowly paralyzed us during our stay," says Priete of how he came with the story.

The video was shot with his mobile phone. With the support of his sister, Winnie Freet, who was also one with him, they managed to create a masterpiece. The film also aims to show that despite everything the pandemic has brought, art does not end; That not even a deadly pandemic can stop an artist from making art.

"With just a mobile phone and a bit of madness, we managed to capture how some positive COVID-19 patients can feel when they have to spend 2 weeks in a unit: the days start to add up, like you are. Stuck. In a cycle, each one – longer than the last, and the 14th seems like it will never come," Priete added.

Isolation was produced, directed, filmed and edited by Ed Freet. The cast of the film is as follows: Vinnie Preet as himself; Carlin Don Ellord as Appellant; And Prince Ed was adopted as a baby. The film is shot in Sta. Ana High School National Isolation Center during Priete's 2-week isolation due to COVID-19.

Edwin "Ed" David J. Priete is a 22-year-old Communication and Media Arts student at the University of the Philippines Mindanao. Basically, he is a filmmaker, director, editor, writer and videographer based in Davao City. His film production team, Duwende Films, has already received numerous awards and accolades from various film festivals and competitions, both local and international.
