Bard College Calendar 2023

Bard College Calendar 2023 – All students are invoiced as full-time students (10-20 credits). Students registering for more than twenty credits will be charged a fee of $1,869 for each additional credit.

Students enrolled for 9 or fewer credits are considered part-time, and the fee per credit is $1,869. To update your enrollment status from time to time, it must be approved by various departments. – Time request form and sent to Registrar's Office and Student Accounts Office before drop/add.

Bard College Calendar 2023

All residential students are charged room and board and must take out a meal plan. All regular semester meal plans, which are included in the fee schedule, cost the same.

Tuition And Fees

Campus faculty fees, which provide campus access, are required of all campus students.

The Campus Health Services fee, which provides access to the health center and counseling, is required of all enrolled students. Additional costs may occur during the academic year to provide medications or other services. Further information is available at the Health Office.

All students in language and thinking and social studies programs must take a meal plan during those programs. An additional cost of $990 is used for the Language and Thinking System meal plan, and $810 for the Civic Science program meal plan.

All students enrolled full-time will be charged an optional tuition insurance plan at an additional cost of $816, which will be billed during the fall semester. Students who choose to withdraw tuition insurance must submit a waiver online within the appropriate deadline to have the fee removed from the student. Full-time students who begin the academic year in the spring semester will be charged optional tuition insurance at an additional cost of $408.

All enrolled students must have health insurance. A 12-month health insurance plan is available at an additional cost of $3,350, billed during the fall semester. Students who choose alternative private plans must provide proof of coverage to verify that the plan is equivalent to the plan upon review.

Citizen Science Program At Bard College

Students who begin the academic year in the spring semester will be charged a 7-month health insurance cost of $1,970 during the spring semester.

The deposit is only a one-time fee due to first semester students. It is refunded after completion of the student course at the university.

All students are billed as full-time each semester. To update your registration status from full-time to part-time, it must be approved by the various departments via the part-time application form. An approved part-time application form can be obtained from the Office of the Registrar and must be submitted to the Student Accounts Office by the end of each semester the student's assigned drop/extension period. Part-time enrollment is considered for billing purposes of 9 points or less and is billed per credit fee, plus any applicable site and on-board and/or mandatory fees. Please note that the optional tuition insurance is not available for part-time students. The goal of the Citizen Science Program at Bard College is to provide students with opportunities to develop their science literacy through hands-on courses and real-world projects. . Question: What does it mean to be scientifically literate? What role do citizens play in weighing important scientific questions? How can citizens find and better understand the scientific information they need to meet the scientific challenges and questions in their lives? What skills do we all need to interpret science adequately and well, and how do we know that the conduct, analysis and interpretation of science is not overly influenced by politics or other potentially distorting factors?

Congressman Anthony Delgado spoke to Bard Citizen Science students at the Ream-Kaden Center about the health risks associated with PFAS chemicals and plans to combat their spread.

News and Events Congressman Delgado represents New York's 19th Congressional District, which includes the Bard campus. The Citizen Science curriculum emphasizes current issues related to water. This month, students in the program, mostly first years, are taking water samples as part of their research; This included samples from the entire bard as well as samples collected at home and taken into the field during the winter break. The synergy between water pollution studies and congressional concerns about PFAS has resulted in a thought-provoking and informative debate, both in the 19th District and nationally.
